This can also be referred to as hypertrophy. Many that do this training program, do the muscle “for show”, such as arms, chest, and neck, but forget about your shoulders and legs. When you sign up with a Crossfit class, you will have a coach that will teach you the foundations before they let you get into the workouts. Before you do this, you need to find an established Crossift club and check the coaches’ credentials that extends beyond the Crossfit arena. Another benefit is that Crossfit is a community of people that are reaching for the same goals that you are. Crossfit gets quite a bit of bad press because they are harshly criticized for having bad form with their lifting which can lead to injuries.
This is the newest training program that bases around the Navy Seal training program with the end goal of training you into a warrior. It is to increase your mental toughness and high-intensity training. This is a program where everyone starts at the beginning as well as the right nutrition. This also has a great community behind it and I feel will explode in the next year.
Its based around swats, dead lifts, and bench presses with the goal of hitting the ultimate lift. As a beginner you cannot expect to start at the top. Your body is not ready for that, and you will seriously injure yourself. If you want to do this, you shouldn’t start this until a year into your weight training and also find yourself an expert coach.
